Private Contrast Therapy
- Enhanced Circulation: Alternating between heat and cold stimulates blood flow, which can improve circulation and promote cardiovascular health.
- Reduced Muscle Soreness: The contrast between hot and cold helps to alleviate muscle soreness and accelerate recovery after exercise.
- Increased Energy Levels: The therapy boosts overall energy and reduces fatigue by revitalising the body.
- Improved Detoxification: The heat from the sauna encourages sweating, which helps to flush out toxins, while the cold from the ice baths helps to reduce inflammation.
- Stress Relief: The combination of sauna and ice baths provides a relaxing experience that can help to reduce stress and improve mental clarity.
- Enhanced Immune Function: Regular use of contrast therapy can strengthen the immune system and improve overall health.
Our private contrast therapy rooms offer a personalised experience with a traditional sauna, an ice bath and a private shower. Follow the Hot, (rinse), Cold, Rest & Repeat method to maximise your recovery and wellness benefits.
Wear as little as you feel comfortable with while avoiding full nudity. Place your towel on the bench inside the sauna (you are provided one towel every visit in a private service & we recommend using this towel to sit on in the sauna & yours for the shower / ice bath). Take a seat in the sauna and make yourself comfortable.
Our private traditional saunas operate between 80 to 100 degrees Celsius, these are preset and don’t need to be touched. Spend up to 10 minutes in the sauna, depending on your comfort level. If at any point you would like to increase the humidity of your sauna, slowly sprinkle a scoop of water across the rocks. Should you need to refill the bucket, please use the shower or tap provided in your room as needed.
Before entering the ice bath, take a shower using the facilities provided in the room.
Fully submerge your body, taking the time to ease into the cold water to avoid spills. The ice bath temperature is set to 5 degrees Celsius.
Limit your time in the ice bath to 1 to 5 minutes based on your comfort level. If you feel uncomfortable or the temperature is too cold, exit the bath sooner.
After using the sauna and ice bath, take a seat and allow your body to rest before repeating the process. We recommend finishing your session with a final ice bath to conclude the contrast therapy process effectively and leave you feeling rejuvenated.
For safety and hygiene; do not use oils in the sauna, as this creates a fire hazard and eating is not permitted inside the sauna.
In addition to the safety devices mounted & accessible around the facility, we have 24/7 safety monitoring with emergency assistance buttons in each individual sauna & private suite. If pressed an an alarm call will be triggered back to our security company allowing us to investigate further and assist as required. Any false alarm call out fees will be passed on to the member.
For the cleanliness and safety of all members, we ask that you take a quick rinse in the shower & towel dry before using the sauna, ice baths, or when you’re transitioning from the sauna to the ice bath. For hygiene reasons, eating is not allowed in the sauna or ice baths.
After every session, members are expected to wipe and clean all equipment thoroughly.
For sauna timber benches, use the spray bottle labelled “sauna wood only” and wipe over the entire bench with the natural disinfectant provided and paper towels.
For the sauna glass, use a paper towel and spray bottle labelled “glass only”, paying close attention to any sweat marks or sweat around the door handles, including wiping the door handles & the screen in the Infra-red saunas.
For normatec boots, wipe down the boots with the provided sanitising wipes.
Please place your paper towels and cleaning wipes in the designated bins throughout the facility and return the spray bottles to their holder.
Should you ever notice an issue with the cleanliness of our facility or any of our equipment, please scan the ‘contact us’ QR codes located throughout the facility & provided us as much information as possible including pictures where relevant. Cleanliness is our number 1 priority.
